#1 Karsen's Grill
Sometimes all you need is a cheap drink and some good bar food! lucky for us we have plenty of dive bars around the area to check out! My top 5 are surely to exceed your expectations. Number 1 is Karsen's Grill, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. This
restaurant is known for their extreme attention to detail! Their scratch kitchen is so small but you wouldn't know it by checking out the menu that had upwards of 60 different items. From tacos to pasta to salads, there is sure to be an item for everyone at the hightop table. This place is full of regulars but with a restaurant this small everyone becomes friends pretty quickly. I would say this spot is a little more expensive than your average dive bar but you can really taste the time and effort put into this menu! Some of my recommendations are the Sunburst Bites (pictured), the Fried Bologna sandwich, and the El Diablo Pasta.
#2 Dukes Bar & Grill
Next up is Dukes Bar and Grill. Located in South Scottsdale off Miller and McDowell this bar is tucked back off he greenway.
With a large wrap around patio and plenty of inside seating. This place is known for their Friday night Trivia and Sunday morning Bloody-Mary bar to kick-off Sunday Football. Their food menu consists of salads, burgers, wraps and appetizers! Grab your friends to share a pitcher of beer, some nachos, and relax while watching your favorite team on the big screen, or hang by the pool table and bar games listening to some good tunes. Either way Dukes is sure to be a good time!
#3 Boondocks Bar and Grill
Boondocks Bar and Grill is located in Old Town Scottsdale, in the "boondocks" right behind the entertainment district. Boondocks is known for live music and one of the largest outdoor patios in Scottsdale. This bar is very popular and almost always busy with young adults drinking away their evenings. What most people forget is that Boondocks actually has great shareable appetizers. Some of their best apps are the Duck Fat Fries, fried pickles, the pitas are a great entree and anything buffalo style is always my top choice!
